William Hill names Miralay as new chief customer officer
William Hill has promoted Cem Miralay to chief customer officer, according to the Campaignlive.co.uk website.
Miralay, who joined the bookmaker in May this year as group director of change, took on the new role, which also includes chief marketing officer responsibilities, last month.
He replaces former chief marketing officer Alex O'Shaughnessy, who left the firm earlier this month.
Miralay previously served as chief product officer at Betsson Group and has also held various senior roles with the likes of Microsoft, AOL, BT and Centrica.
A William Hill spokesperson denied that the senior management changes were a result of the bookmaker’s recent ownership saga, which saw it hold talks over a possible merger with Amaya.
Meanwhile, slot specialist Lightning Box Games has agreed to provide its content to William Hill’s network of licensed betting offices in the UK.
Due to commence in the second quarter of 2017, the roll-out will cover 2,300 shops and more than 9,000 gaming machines.
The bookmaker will gain access to the retail versions of ‘Silver Lion Deluxe’ and ‘Panda Power Deluxe’, both of which have proved popular online, with more games to be added in due course.
“Our games have been very popular with players and casino owners across multiple channels in Europe and North America, and I’m confident they will be well-received by British audiences too,” Lightning Box's managing director and co-founder, Peter Causley, said.
Andrew Sackey, head of product and content at William Hill, added: “We’re eager to see how the first two games perform as omni-channel content for our online and land-based customers, and are looking forward to working with Peter and his team.”
