Holland Casino names new permanent chief executive
Dutch gambling monopoly Holland Casino has appointed Erwin van Lambaart as its new permanent chief executive.
Subject to approval by the Dutch Central Bank (De Nederlandsche Bank), van Lambaart will assume his new role from March 7.
Confirmation of van Lambaart’s appointment comes after Willem-Jan van den Dijssel left the role of chief executive in August of last year.
“I'm looking forward to shaping the future of the organisation in a challenging market environment,” van Lambaart said.
Aat Schouwenaar, chairman of the Holland Casino supervisory board, added: “He possesses the necessary qualities to lead the company in a challenging period, which is expected to include both the legalisation of online gambling and the liberalisation of the gaming market.”
