BetVictor poaches Betsson’s Parkes for brand director role
Online gambling operator BetVictor has appointed Betsson Group’s Matt Parkes as its new director of brand and creative.
Parkes will assume responsibility for building on the operator’s brand successes, as well as ensuring brand consistency across all channels and overseeing brand positioning, communications, creative and media spend.
Parkes has worked in the industry for more than 21 years, most recently serving as global head of brand and creative at Betsson Group. He also had a spell as global head of publicity at the operator.
Prior to his time with Betsson, Parkes held various senior creative and marketing roles for multiple global agencies, developing brand propositions, marketing strategies and integrated campaigns.
“I’m very much looking forward to getting started with BetVictor, a company that is at a really exciting stage of its brand journey,” Parkes said.
“They’ve taken great strides in developing their proposition and are now ready to amplify it even more. I can’t wait to lead the next part of that process and contribute to the overall success of the company.”
BetVictor CEO, Andreas Meinrad, added: “These past few years have been among the most important for the business in terms of developing our brand proposition and assets, and we are looking forward to welcoming Matt to the team.
“His extensive marketing experience will be crucial for helping us to grow the brand even further.”
Parkes joins BetVictor after the operator last week also unveiled former football manager Harry Redknapp as its latest brand ambassador. Redknapp has signed a two-year deal with BetVictor and will feature in its new #HeyHarry campaign.
