New York sports betting revenue rockets in December

The New York State Gaming Commission has reported a 210.6% year-on-year increase in gross sports betting revenue in December.
Gross gaming revenue from sports betting amounted to $2.3m (£1.7m/€1.9m) in December, up from $740,418 in the same month in 2019, but slightly down from $2.6m in November 2020.
Rush Street’s Rivers Casino and Resort in Schenectady again claimed top spot in the state’s market by posting $949,804 in sports betting revenue, up 204.6% in December 2019.
The del Lago Resort and Casino in Waterloo, which has a DraftKings sportsbook, ranked second with $922,718 in revenue, an increase of 175.2% from $335,283 in the previous year.
Tioga Downs Casino in the Fingerlakes, which operates a FanDuel sportsbook, followed with $277,301 in sports betting revenue, which represented a rise of 307.4% on the corresponding month in 2019.
