Norsk Tipping taps Sporting Solutions for risk and pricing
Sports betting content provider Sporting Solutions has won a tender to supply its pricing and risk management services to Norwegian gaming monopoly Norsk Tipping.
Sporting Solutions saw off competition from six other companies to provide its services to Norsk Tipping as part of the state-run operator’s new sports betting solution.
Norsk Tipping will gain access to Sporting Solutions’ fully automated suite of risk management services, powered by algorithms using economic techniques borrowed from the financial markets.
The operator will also have access to the Sporting Solutions proprietary trading software, which will enable it to offer localised content in order to differentiate against private operator offerings.
“In today’s competitive sports betting environment we are constantly looking for solutions to strengthen our product and operations,” Norsk Tipping’s director of customer and market operations, Thorbjørn Unneberg, said.
“In the procurement process, Sporting Solutions scored strongly across the board, and we’re confident its attractive value proposition will support Norsk Tipping in our continuous efforts to deliver the best responsible gaming experiences to our players in the future.”
Sporting Solutions also provides its risk management services to Denmark's state-controlled gaming operator Danske Spil.
Sporting Solutions’ managing director Ed Peace added: “Being chosen by Norsk Tipping after a thorough and competitive public procurement process is a fantastic outcome for Sporting Solutions and testament to the innovation and leadership we continue to show in the fields of pricing and risk management.
“We are very proud to announce Norsk Tipping as our latest lottery partner and believe our shared vision, proven track record and market-leading offering will provide the solutions for Norsk Tipping to drive bottom line growth and deliver a market leading experience for its customers.”
The new deal comes after Norsk Tipping last month agreed a partnership with Scientific Games to launch video lottery terminals at multiple locations across Norway.
