DraftKings confirms Dodge as new legal chief
Daily fantasy sports (DFS) operator DraftKings has appointed R. Stanton Dodge as its new chief legal officer to support its ongoing expansion into new markets.
Based in the company’s Boston headquarters in Massachusetts, US, Dodge will oversee DraftKings’ legal and government affairs teams.
Dodge joins DraftKings after a 20-year spell with DISH Network, where he most recently served as vice-president, general counsel and secretary.
Jason Robins, chief executive and co-founder of DraftKings, said: “Stanton brings to DraftKings a wealth of experience and expertise in legal and government affairs.
“During his nearly two decades at DISH, he helped the company grow from a startup in a fledgling industry into a telecommunications giant. Stanton will be a major driver and enabler of DraftKings’ future growth as we continue to evolve and expand into new lines of business around the world, and we are very excited to have him join the talented group of women and men who work at DraftKings.”
