World Lottery Association re-elects Hargrove as president
Hargrove, who will now serve her second two-year-term, has held a number of leadership positions within WLA, including senior vice president and chair of its corporate social responsibility committee.
In addition to her roles with both the WLA and Tennessee Education Lottery, Hargrove is the founding chair of the Women’s Initiative in Lottery Leadership, a program that supports the advancement of women into senior positions within lottery management, leadership and responsibility.
Hargrove also spent time leading all offices of the North American Association of State and Provincial Lotteries (NASPL) and the Multi-State Lottery Association (MUSL), as well as president of the International Association of State Lotteries.
“I appreciate the continued support from WLA members, and I look forward to continuing the hard work of the WLA and what it does best: sharing best practices so lotteries worldwide raise money for good causes and their beneficiaries,” Hargrove said.
The WLA counts more than 140 government-authorised and licensed lottery organisations from over 80 countries among its members.
WLA lottery board of directors chair Susan Lanigan added: “Rebecca continues to blaze trails in the lottery industry, and lotteries across the globe will go on benefitting from her vast experience.”
