Jackson begins CEO role at Paddy Power Betfair
Peter Jackson has this week officially moved into the role of chief executive at Paddy Power Betfair.
Jackson was announced as the replacement to Breon Corcoran in August of last year.
Corcoran stepped down from the Paddy Power Betfair board on January 7 and Jackson took up the position of chief executive the following day.
Jackson joins the company having most recently served as chief executive of global payments business WorldPay.
However, Jackson has been involved with Paddy Power Betfair for some time, having been an independent, non-executive director of the company since 2016 prior to which he held a similar role with Betfair prior to the merger between Paddy Power and Betfair.
Earlier in his career, Jackson also had a spell as chief executive of Travelex Group from 2010 until 2016, led the innovation function for Banco Santander in 2016 and served in various roles in the retail bank at Lloyds Banking Group and HBOS.
Speaking at the time of his appointment in August, Jackson said: “I am excited about the prospect of joining the Paddy Power Betfair executive team.
“Paddy Power Betfair has some of the leading brands in the global gaming industry and the business has great prospects.”
