Tim Green has stepped down as chief executive of virtual sports supplier Highlight Games, with general counsel Steven Holmes and director Nick Gardiner to serve as his replacements.

Green founded Highlight Games in 2014, having previously served as chief operating officer of Cozy Games, vice president of Lottery Dynamics and a board director at marketing agency PIMS-SCA.

Holmes will step into the co-chief executive role after spending just under two years as Highlight Games’ general counsel. Before this, he was chief legal officer for BH2 consulting and for Inspired Gaming Group.

Gardiner joined Highlight Games as a director in November 2017 after being a sales director at Sportradar for nearly two years. Before this, Gardiner spent two years at the LMS Patents Group, which owns supplier Link2Win and 12 years at Inspired.

“Highlight Games is a business with huge potential, and we look forward to building on the success which Tim has initiated over the past five years,” Gardiner and Holmes said in a joint statement. “Together we bring a breadth of commercial and operational experience to the CEO role and are committed to steering the company into a new phase of growth.

“We thank Tim for his commitment to the business and wish him every success in the future.”

In June 2019, Highlight Games launched NBA LAst 90, the first virtual sports game based on the NBA.
