GVC hands non-executive director role to Nygaard-Andersen
GVC Holdings has appointed Jette Nygaard-Andersen, an experienced media, digital and entertainment executive, as an independent non-executive director with immediate effect.
Jette currently serves on the board of medical technology company Coloplast AS and also chairs the board at global esports organisation Astralis Group A/S, which recently listed on the Nasdaq First North Growth Market in Denmark.
Between 2003 and March 2019, Nygaard-Andersen held several senior executive and non-executive roles at Modern Times Group AB, working with companies in online and mobile video gaming, esports, social media video content and platform.
Prior to this, Nygaard-Andersen spent six years as a senior strategy consultant at Accenture, advising clients in the telecommunications, media and entertainment sectors. She also had a spell with global logistics company A.P. Møller-Maersk, working in finance, strategy and business development roles.
“Jette’s appointment further extends the breadth and depth of the Board’s collective experience and international outlook,” GVC chairman Lee Feldman said. “We look forward to her contribution given her extensive experience in consumer-facing businesses in the entertainment, media and technology sectors.”
Feldman will soon step down from his role at GVC after the operator last month named former William Hill director Barry Gibson as its new chairman.
Gibson, currently chairman of HomeServe, will replace Feldman in February – almost a year after his departure was first announced.
