GVC bolsters operational management team
GVC Holdings has appointed Gabriele Griesbacher and Colin Cole-Johnson to its operational management team, in the new roles of director of payments and gaming product director respectively, to start in early November.
Griesbacher previously worked as chief operating officer for payment provider PXP from January, after serving as managing director since November 2018. Griesbacher will start in the newly-created role as director of payments and compliance and be responsible for all aspects of payments across GVC, which the company said includes the areas of commercial, product and compliance.
“Working closely with the Group’s Compliance, Marketing and Customer Service Teams, she will have a particular focus on Responsible Gambling, Know Your Customer and Source of Funds commitments, ensuring player safety is at the heart of everything we do,” GVC said in a statement.
Colin Cole-Johnson, formerly group director at Rank Group and egaming director at William Hill, will be responsible for GVC’s Casino, Live and Bingo products.
“We are delighted to have Gabriele and Colin joining us. Both have huge expertise in their respective areas and will further strengthen the Group’s leadership team,” Shay Segev, chief operating officer of GVC said.
“Gabriele will spearhead our ever-increasing focus on compliance, ensuring we maintain a player-safety-first approach in everything we do, while Colin will drive our gaming product forward, bringing his unparalleled industry experience and gaming expertise.”
Earlier this week, (30 September) GVC Holdings launched the GVC Foundation, a new body that will execute its global corporate social responsibility (CSR) strategy. The company also announced a series of new CSR projects.
