Tjon, who will report directly to chief executive Kevin Sheehan, joins Scientific after two years as chief financial officer and executive vice-president of Epiq Systems, a global provider of integrated technology and services for the legal profession.
Prior to her time with Epiq, Tjon had a three-year spell as chief financial officer and treasurer at business and special mission aircraft manufacturer Hawker Beechcraft Corporation.
Earlier in her career, Tjon spent almost 10 years as director, senior director and managing director of global professional services firm Alvarez & Marsal.
“We have tremendous confidence in KJ’s ability to lead our long-term growth strategy and execution, and continue the strong growth across all of our businesses,” Sheehan said.

“We are excited to continue the great work we have delivered with our instant game products and full loyalty programme to help drive profits for the state of Missouri.”
