Christos Dimitriadis, group director of information security at Intralot, has been re-elected as chair of the board of directors for ISACA, a global association that serves the assurance, cybersecurity, risk and governance professions.

Dimitriadis, who has worked in information security for more than 16 years, will now enter into his second consecutive term in the role.

Prior to his time as chair of the association, Dimitriadis served on several ISACA volunteer groups, including ISACA’s Knowledge Board, COBIT for Security Task Force, Strategic Advisory Council and Academic Relations Committee.

“In an era of digital transformation, ISACA supports professionals and organisations using technology as a business enabler and innovation vehicle,” Dimitriadis said.

“We do this through the deployment of technology governance and management frameworks, through the establishment of capability maturity models, by addressing impeding factors like cyberthreats, and through the creation of trust that assurance programs introduce.”

Antonios Kerastaris, group chief executive of Intralot, added: “Technology-driven innovation and trusted operations have always been at the top of our agenda and adopting international good practices on governance of technology, risk and security management are the means to achieve our goals.

“Intralot and the gaming sector at large will be greatly benefited by ISACA’s initiatives under Christos’ leadership.”
