Sweden’s gambling regulator Spelinspektionen has awarded igaming licences to Bell Casino, FT Diva Casino and Premiergaming.
Premiergaming has been awarded a licence to offer online gambling and betting services in the newly regulated Swedish market, which went live on January 1.
The new licence will cover the operator’s Prontocasino.com, Prontocasino.se, Premierlivecasino.com, Premierlivecasino.se, Prontobingo.com, Prontobingo.se, Prontoodds.com and Prontoodds.se websites.
Spelinspektionen has also issued a licence to FT Diva Casino covering land-based commercial casino games in the country.
In addition, Bell Casino has secured a licence to offer gaming services on ships.
Confirmation of the new licences takes the total number of licensed operators in the Swedish regulated market to 69.
Last month, Spelinspektionen also awarded licences to Dreambox Games, Ellmount Gaming, Legolas Invest, Pixel Digital and More Tech Group.
GVC Holdings, Stars Group, LeoVegas, Bet365 and Betsson Group are among the other brands to have secured approval to operate in Sweden.
However, despite issuing a number of licences, Spelinspektionen was last month forced to issue a further reminder to operators that they must operate in line with the licence conditions or risk having their approval revoked.
The regulator’s concerns centre around a requirement for operators to check players’ names against the Spelpaus.se self-exclusion register before allowing them to gamble or sending them advertising. Spelinspektionen has received various complaints about self-excluded players being sent marketing materials.
