LeoVegas picks up gaming licence in Denmark
LeoVegas is to expand into Denmark after acquiring a new gaming licence in the country.
The firm expects to launch services in Denmark this autumn and has established together a team that has “extensive experience in digital marketing and the Danish gaming market” to support the move.
LeoVegas said that the move forms part of its ongoing expansion strategy, which it said is based on “leveraging its global brand through local, business-oriented teams”, which in turn creates the “right prospects for a successful launch and long-term growth”.
Gustaf Hagman, chief executive and co-founder of LeoVegas, added: “LeoVegas expansion continues, and it is gratifying to see how we grow in new markets.
“Our strategy to enter regulated markets or markets that are facing regulation seems like a winning concept.
“I am convinced that our market-leading mobile gaming product, data-driven marketing approach and a strong, local team will help ensure a successful launch in Denmark, where no one has yet taken the mobile position.”
