iSoftBet and Play’n GO have become the latest companies to secure new gambling licences in Romania.

While iSoftBet has been given a production and distribution of gaming software licence, Play’n GO has been awarded a class two licence.

iSoftBet’s licence will enable the firm to offer a host of games from its portfolio to the Romanian online gambling market, with operators in the jurisdiction also able to use the company’s third-party content through a single and seamless integration.

The firm will initially roll out content through Netbet.ro with a selection of 50 games.

“Expanding the number of regulated markets in which we are operational is a significant part of iSoftBet’s growth plan,” iSoftBet managing director Nir Elbaz said.

“We regard responsible gambling as the highest priority, and work hard to deliver fair and enjoyable games for players and maximum profits for our operators.”

Meanwhile, the Play’n GO licence will allow the company to supply its content to all online channels for gaming operators in the country’s regulated market.

Johan Törnqvist, chief executive of Play’n GO, said: “This is a landmark day for the company and we are delighted to have been awarded a gaming licence for Romania, a growing market that we have had our eyes on for some time.”
