bet365 Italian site among new additions to Swiss blacklist
Swiss gambling regulator the Inter-Cantonal Lotteries and Betting Commission (Comlot) has updated its blacklist of unlicensed operators, with bet365's dot.it site among the latest additions.
A total of 17 websites have been added to the blacklist, which was first published last month following implementation of the country’s Federal Act on Real-Money Gaming (Geldspielgesetz).
Article 86 of the Geldspielgesetz gives Comlot the power to have internet service providers block access to platforms that are accessible in Switzerland but not licensed, using a domain name server (DNS) lock.
The bet365.it website is one of the latest additions, with the operator’s primary bet365.com domain already having featured in the initial list.
Other additions to the updated blacklist include Anogame.com, Anoguess.com, Africabet.co.zw, Bahigo207.com, Balkanbet.rs, Betaland.it, Betflag.it, Betlive.com, Betlima117.com and Betolimp.com.
Comlot has also added Betonline.ag, Betrebels.com, Betspawn.com, Lopoca.com, Sportsbetting.ag and Topsport.com.au to the blacklist.
A total of 65 operators featured on the original blacklist, including high profile brands such as Interwetten, Pinnacle, Betclic Everest Group and Unibet.
Last month, gambling regulator the Eidgenössische Spielbankenkommission (ESBK) also published an initial list of 39 banned operators, with many of these also featuring on the Comlot blacklist.
