Four charities share £53k CPZ fundraising
Four organisations which help people overcome problem gambling were presented with donations at the Consumer Protection Zone (CPZ) at ICE London.
As the industry continues to focus more on the issue of consumer safety, this year’s CPZ is hosting a record 20 stands, up from the 2022 figure of 14 stands.
Donations from industry raised £52,800 this year, which was split between Better Change, BetKnowMore, NCPG and AGOG, who each received £13,200. Close to £150,000 has been raised over the last three years of ICE hosting the Consumer Protection Zone.
The CPZ, which is located in N1, is now in its fifth year at ICE London. It has become one of the highest profile features of ICE London. Exhibitors include providers of responsible gambling tools, innovations and solutions alongside not-for-profit organisations. Current donors include Kindred, Flutter, Les Ambassadeurs Club, Betsson, Greentube and IGT.
Brands featured at the CPZ in 2023 include the Gambling Commission, Focal Research, Casino Guru, Future Anthem, Department of Trust, Mindway AI, Epic Gaming, LexisNexis, Rightlanderk, IGT, SG:Certified, W2, Crucial Compliance, GamCare, YGAM, Gordon Moody, Gamstop, BetKnowMore, Responsible Gaming Council and the National Center for Problem Gambling.
Ewa Bakun, Clarion Gaming’s Director of Industry Insight and Engagement, said: “The CPZ, which was recognised by the industry at the 2022 Global Regulatory Awards where it won the Responsible Approach to Advertising/Marketing category is one of the many success stories to have originated at ICE.”
