Coping with Germany’s stringent slot restrictions
The German market will launch with a €1 per spin cap on slots stakes and a minimum five second spin speed, coupled with a hefty 5.3% tax on turnover.
This puts new pressure on product experts to ensure their games are attractive and engaging, when a reduced return to player (RTP) is all but inevitable.
Yet working within these constraints is not necessarily admitting failure, some developers argue.
By replacing the monetary sums won by players with other non-financial prizes, one G Games believes it can offer an experience that feels similar to an unrestricted game.
