Galaxy Gaming has appointed Harry Hagerty, formerly of Caesars Entertainment, as its new chief financial officer.

In his new role, Hagerty will assume responsibility for all financial functions of the company, as well as oversee compliance, IT and human resources.

Hagerty joins Galaxy having previously served as chief financial officer of Caesars Entertainment and Global Cash Access Holdings.

In addition, Hagerty founded payment systems specialist Sightline Payments, and is still an officer and director of the company.

“Galaxy has been growing nicely over the last few years and has completed some significant corporate transactions,” Hagerty said.

“However, I strongly believe that the company's best days are ahead of it, and I look forward to working with my Galaxy colleagues to realise that future.

The appointment comes after Galaxy last month revealed both revenue and pre-tax income growth during the 12 months to December 31, 2016.

Robert Saucier, chief executive of Galaxy, added: “We are very excited to have Harry join the Galaxy team; his background and experience will be instrumental in helping us grow while meeting the expectations of our various stakeholders, including regulators, investors and fellow employees.”
