Tabcorp brokers AUS$128m acquisition deal for INTECQ
Tabcorp is to acquire gaming technology group INTECQ for AUS$128 million (€87 million/US$97.1 million).
According to the Australian Financial Review newspaper, Tabcorp said that the deal will help strengthen its gaming services division and add AUS$20 million to underlying earnings.
Tabcorp will pay AUS$7.15 per share for INTECQ, which was formerly known as eBET.
The gaming technology firm offers a range of services, such as loyalty programmes and gaming machine monitoring, to 1,200 venues and a network of over 70,000 gaming machines in Australia.
David Attenborough, chief executive of Tabcorp, said talks over a deal began in April of this year and described the discussions as “amicable”.
Attenborough added: “INTECQ has a track record of innovation; we look forward to combining capabilities to strengthen our market-leading gaming and venue services offering.”
