Senjō completes purchase of GVC’s Kalixa Group
GVC Holdings has finalised the sale of its Kalixa Group payments arm to Senjō Group.
In December, global payments operator Senjō agreed a deal to acquire Kalixa for €29m ($32.5m) and GVC has now confirmed that this amount has been paid in cash, subject to a completion accounts adjustment.
In a statement, GVC said the sale will have a “neutral effect” on earnings before interest, tax, depreciation and amortisation (EBITDA).
GVC also confirmed Kalixa will continue to provide payment processing services to the company, under the terms of an existing contract.
Speaking at the time of the original announcement, Gavin Lock, chief operating officer at Senjō, said: “The acquisition of Kalixa fits well within Senjō Group’s strategy of building out a global payments ecosystem.
“We believe Kalixa will be complementary to our existing portfolio of payments businesses around the world and will create a combined group that leverages the best of both companies.”
Meanwhile, GVC has signed a multi-year deal to launch casino and gaming content from Pariplay.
Under the agreement, Pariplay will provide GVC with in-house developed games, as well as content from partners on the company’s FUSION content aggregator network.
GVC will add more than 50 slot, skill, scratch card, bingo, keno and instant win games to its casino line-up across various company brands.
Gaming content will be integrated into GVC’s proprietary gaming platform and be available to customers via desktop, mobile and tablet devices.
Liron Snir, chief product officer at GVC, said: “Pariplay’s content is a fantastic addition to our line-up and is another huge step on our journey to build the best gaming offer in the industry.”
