Scout Gaming launches esports betting across partner network
Scout Gaming Group has announced the launch of a new esports betting offering across its network of partners.
The platform will support a wide range of esports titles such as FIFA, NBA 2K, Virtual Formula 1, Counter-Strike: Global Offensive (CS:GO), League of Legends, and Dota 2. Betting options available to customers will include player matchup, player performance odds and a new sports jackpot game.
The new offering will be initially rolled out with certain partner sites, including the likes of Fanteam, Greece's Stoiximan, Strendus in Mexico and Bethard in Sweden, with additional launches planned during coming weeks.
“We have been seeking the optimal timing to launch our esports portfolio, since traditional sports worldwide is in temporary lockdown, the timing becomes ideal,” Scout’s chief executive Andreas Ternstrom said.
“After some initial tests of esports fantasy and esport player performance odds, with a great result, we are excited about the launch.”
Scout becomes the latest gambling business to introduce esports betting options, with traditional sports betting currently limited as a result of many major sports events being cancelled or postponed due to the novel coronavirus (Covid-19) pandemic.
Last week, iGaming operator and supplier Newgioco launched a new esports wagering service through its online gambling channel in Italy, while news portal Win.gg has rolled out a new esports betting brand.
Online operator Puntt also recently launched a new esports player betting platform, while iGaming software supplier and white label solutions provider EveryMatrix enhanced its OddsMatrix service to help customers move into the esports betting market.
iGB has also launched a new weekly fixture list of esports tournaments, focused on CS:GO, League of Legends and Dota 2, in partnership with Bayes Esports Holding and its Esports Directory.
