Startups showcased at Pitch ICE
Fourteen entrepreneurs from all corners of the gaming industry have been sharing their ideas with investors and partners at Pitch ICE.
This year, finalists not only had the chance to take to the podium, they also had their own booths to meet the industry throughout the three-day event.
Danny Williams of social points-based betting system Racing Stars praised the atmosphere at Pitch ICE and the show. “We’ve already had a couple of leads from here. The whole competition was a really well organised and slick process from start to finish.”
On Up One Down Ltd provides mentoring opportunities for women in the gaming industry. The platform was co-founded and CTO Dzhuliana Nikolova with the aim of helping women build one-to-one connections. She said the tool, which matches women to potential mentors would help women within the industry “not to mimic men but to be themselves.”
Enabling touch free gaming
Touch Less Gaming uses buttons lit by LED lights enabling land-based gaming machines to become touch free and reduce the risk of virus transmission. The company was founded by Christy Lemons, a gaming enthusiast with a background within the health care industry. “It’s the first year we submitted and we are delighted with the booth,” she said, adding that she’d already had enquiries before her pitch on Tuesday afternoon.

Many of the startups featured on Pitch ICE have secured important investments and acquisition partners following their presentations and participation at ICE, the largest global gathering of gaming operators in Europe.
