Playtech has appointed long-term legal adviser Alex Latner as its new general counsel.
Latner has worked with the gambling company for some time, through his role as a partner at London-based law firm Berwin Leighton Paisner (BLP).
In his new role, Latner will lead a team of 13 lawyers and admin staff, reporting directly to chief executive Mor Weizer.
Latner assumes the role of general counsel from David McLeish, who left the firm at the start of last year after three years in the position.
BLP will remain as an advisor to Playtech, with corporate partners Benjamin Lee and Gareth Jones now set to manage the relationship.
