NetEnt secures Romanian licences, launches new slot
Net Entertainment (NetEnt) has obtained class two licences from the National Gaming Office in Romania.
The licences cover production and distribution of specialised gaming software in the country, in addition to management and hosting facilities for online gaming.
In a statement confirming the news, NetEnt said the new licences form part of its growth strategy to expand into regulated markets around the world.
“For several years, the company has been investing in technology and expertise to adapt the company to regulated markets, and holds licenses and certifications in a number of European markets,” NetEnt said.
Meanwhile, NetEnt has expanded its slots portfolio ahead of this summer’s Uefa European Championship national football team tournament with the launch of ‘Football: Champions Cup’.
The new title is a five-reel, three-row and 20-line video slot that can be accessed from both desktop and mobile devices.
Players will benefit from in-game features such as a penalty shoot-out bonus games and free spins, as well as wild and overlay wild substitutions.
