CFO Korsanos to leave Aristocrat
The chief financial officer of Australia-based slot-machine manufacturer Aristocrat Leisure is to leave her position as she does not wish to relocate to North America.
The position is being relocated as part of the company’s focus on expansion in North America, but Toni Korsanos, who also serves as company secretary, has told the firm that she does not wish to switch to Aristocrat’s new Las Vegas office due to “family reasons”.
Korsanos joined Aristocrat in 2007 as general manager of group finance and was appointed CFO in 2009. It is believed she will leave the company during Q1 2018. While chief executive Trevor Croker is to relocate to Nevada, the company said it will now commence a comprehensive global search for Korsanos’ successor.
“Toni’s legacy at Aristocrat is broad and impressive,” said Croker.
“It includes the delivery of sustained and outstanding group performance against all key financial metrics across her tenure, together with transformative M&A, a strong cultural impact and the development of many talented leaders who are well positioned to build on Toni’s achievements into the future.
“I deeply regret, but fully respect Toni’s decision not to relocate, and to instead embrace new challenges, progressing her executive career and pursuing her interest in non-executive directorships among other opportunities.”
The group’s North American unit, Aristocrat Technologies Inc, recently broke ground on a new company headquarters in Las Vegas, that will serve commercial casino clients in North America, Latin America and the Caribbean.
Croker added: “I look forward to continuing to work closely with Toni in the months ahead, as we prepare for this important transition and maintain full momentum in executing Aristocrat’s ambitious growth strategy.”
