Penn National Gaming to open Hollywood Casino York on 12 August

The casino will include around 500 slot machines and 24 table games over an 80,000 sq ft location, and has capacity to offer up to 750 slot machines and 40 gaming tables. In addition, Penn’s Barstool-branded sportsbook will also be available on site.

“The countdown to our grand opening begins today,” said Ruben Warren, Vice President and General Manager for Hollywood Casino York. “We’re very excited to soon welcome patrons to this beautiful new property, where they’ll be able to experience premier gaming, dining and entertainment.”

It will be the third Penn National Gaming facility in the state, after Hollywood Casino at Penn National Race Course in Grantville and The Meadows Racetrack & Casino.

Before launch, Penn will host two invitation-only test days. Gaming proceeds from these tests will go towards local charities such as York County Veterans Outreach, York County Food Bank, Mr. Sandy’s Veterans Helping Hand and local American Legion posts.
