Online gaming brand BetBright has revealed that it was able to treble turnover in 2017 and hopes to double this total again in the current year.

According to Bdaily.co.uk, BetBright has forecast a revenue increase of at least 200% for 2017 over 2016, adding that it expects profit for 2018 to total £25m (€28.4m/$35m).

To date, BetBright owners have invested over £53.3m into the business and this has resulted in growth of around 60% year-on-year.

BetBright is also hoping to expand its workforce from 100 to 150 over the course of 2018.

Meanwhile, BetBright has confirmed the appointment of Sarne Lightman as managing director.

Lightman takes up the newly created position after spells in senior roles with the likes of PokerStars, Full Tilt Poker and most recently 24option, where he served as chief marketing officer.

“2018 is going to be a game changing year for us and our aim is to become the disrupters of the sports betting industry,” said Lightman, who will report to BetBright chief executive Marcus Brennan.

“Our plan is to use our technology ownership and the in-house development of this, as an enabler of innovation and differentiation – which will enable us to shake-up what is an already crowded market and stand apart from competitors, which include some very successful and well-known brands.

“BetBright is already doing things in the sector that have not been done before and you’ll be hearing a lot more about us and from us in the coming months as we continue to push the boundaries and disrupt the status quo.”
