The lockdown was officially lifted at 4pm on 8 August 2021, with certain restrictions still to remain in place for two weeks.

At the aforementioned venues, capacity is limited to one person per four metres squared indoors, and one person per two metres squared outdoors.

Mask wearing will remain mandatory, and customers will have to remain seated when eating or drinking.

Star reiterates that it remains committed to the health, safety and well-being of its team members and guests.

Both venues had been closed since 29 June after the Queensland region went into lockdown. The lockdown was then extended after an increase in novel coronavirus (Covid-19) cases across the state.
