The venue will contain 1,892 rooms when fully opening, providing spaces for events, meetings and conferences, shopping, gaming, dining and entertainment.

The facilities available during the first phase of opening include restaurants, spas and event spaces.

The Gaming Inspection and Coordination Bureau of Macau (DICJ) has also granted SJM Resorts, which rebranded from Socideade de Jogos de Macau earlier this year, licences for a variety of table games and other gaming options at the venue.

SJM chairman and executive director Daisy Ho added that SJM had been approved to move some gaming tables from its other venues in the region to the new site.

“SJM has also been authorized by the DICJ to request the transfer of additional gaming tables to Casino Grand Lisboa Palace from other casinos operated by SJM,” she said.

“The DICJ also approved the installation of 1,200 new slot machines with specific limits on the numbers that can be installed and be in operation at the time of opening.”

Earlier today, the DICJ reported that Macau’s gambling revenue rose month-on-month in July and grew significantly year-on-year, largely due to a reduction in novel coronavirus (Covid-19) restrictions.
