SkyCity's Adelaide casino to close at midnight

These restrictions will come into effect from midnight tonight (19 July) in response to three new Covid cases breaking out in the community.

The casino will re-open on Friday 23 July when the government is set to review the restrictions.

SkyCity’s Eos Hotel will remain open in order to accommodate hotel guests. Social distancing and hygiene requirements will be enforced.

Last week, Crown Resorts announced that its flagship Melbourne revenue would close for five days, as restrictions were tightened again in the state of Victoria.

The venue last had to close in November amidst a restructuring of SkyCity’s management team. SkyCity branches in New Zealand will remain open as they will be unaffected by South Australia’s new restrictions.

The company recently predicted that its profits for the year would rise as much as 32.7%.
