Of this total, PHP3.63bn came from VIP revenue, as VIP players wagered PHP105.5bn on the 97 gaming tables in operation.

For non-VIP customers, the 88 table games on offer contributed PHP1.63bn after players wagered PHP5.37bn.

PHP42.9bn was wagered at gaming machines, which led to PHP2.5bn worth of revenue being generated.

Regular table games had the highest win rate of the three with 30.3%, followed by gaming machines with 5.8% and then VIP rolling chip games with 3.4%.

The Tiger Resorts hotel received 780,475 visitors during this time period, at an occupancy rate of 70.6%. The revenue it brought in per room amounted to PHP5,549. The hotel, along with bars, restaurants, retail and entertainment brought in a total of PHP240m.

For the second quarter of 2021, Tiger Resorts’ GGR was PHP2.6bn. PHP1.4bn was generated in June alone, which marked a 106.9% increase on May’s GGR.

There are no figures available for a year-on-year comparison due to Tiger Resorts venues being closed for much of 2020, however the figure for Q2 2021 is 18.1% higher than 2020’s quarterly average of PHP2.2bn.

The quarter also saw the operator’s Okada Manilla receive approval to launch online gambling from the Philippine Amusement and Gaming Corporation (PAGCOR).

Approval is subject to payment of licence fees, compliance with casino regulations and anti-money laundering laws and test simulations.

This will see Okada Manilla become the first of the four “Entertainment City” integrated resort operators to launch an online product.
