Sky Betting & Gaming has reportedly struck a deal to acquire content studio CORE Gaming.

According to the InsiderMedia.com website, Justin Chamberlain, who currently serves as managing director of CORE Gaming, will remain in place at the company.

CORE Gaming has been working with Sky Betting & Gaming for a number of years, supporting the operator with its mobile casino games.

“This acquisition makes what was already a close relationship even closer,” Sky Betting & Gaming’s gaming director Conor Grant said.

“CORE Gaming has been a key part of our mobile casino success story and we believe their unique position to understand our customers and build great content for our players will further drive our gaming business forward.”

Simon Lloydbottom, senior director at Orbis Partners, which advised on the sale, added: “Given the already close relationship between CORE and Sky Betting & Gaming there is a natural strategic rationale for the deal.

“We are delighted to have worked so closely with the shareholders in order to deliver a deal which works well for all involved, and we look forward to seeing CORE continue its development under new ownership.”
