Clarion confirms Japan Gaming Congress for May 2017
Clarion Events, in association with Japanese firm Hakuhodo, has announced that the second edition of the Japan Gaming Congress will take place in Tokyo from May 10-12 next year.
The event will give stakeholders the opportunity to join key government officials, global gaming groups, constructors, financial institutions and legal experts in talks over proposed regulatory frameworks regarding the country's newly legalised casino market.
This week, Japan’s parliament approved a law to legalise casino gambling in the country, although further legislation is required for regulation, tax rates and social considerations.
The Japan Gaming Congress will enable attendees to learn more about the law change and opportunities for growth in the country.
Kate Chambers, managing director gaming at Clarion Events, said: “Japan has taken a major step forward which will see it become one of the next gambling superpowers.
“The opportunity to bring leading industry figures together represents a truly unique opportunity for dialogue with key government officials and international stakeholders on the proposed requirements.
“We are delighted to have the opportunity to host this event once again and look forward to welcoming the gaming community in May.”
